Tree Identification Courses:

With many years experience teaching adults and children, I specialize in fitting the task to the student. Whatever you find difficult, I endeavour to make easy. I will run a tailor-made course for your group, or you can try one of my ready made courses.

Tree and Woodland at Orielton

• This course for beginners and improvers will teach identification of native trees and woodland plants by visiting local woodlands There will also be a visit to a local arboretum to learn about more exotic tree species.

Tree Identification at Kindrogan

• The first course for beginners or improvers covering native, naturalised and exotic species, including the dreaded conifers.
• The second course is for those who wish to build on their knowledge. It follows and can be combined with the first. It will include an introduction to tree biology, identifying woodland plants and animals, woodland history and management, according to members interests.

Touch trees - tree identification made easy.

• This is a short course looking at trees in the latter part of the year - with autumn colour and winter buds.
